i left tdcj with pending disciplinary's but it was due to my pregnancy and i wrote that on my resigning paper, i was able to get unemployment and once i had my babies i reapllied but its taking forever to hear anything back, so my question is will that put me on the no rehire list even though i left because my pregnancy was high risk???

If you left with pending disciplinary, likely you will NOT be hired back. You'll probably be marked no rehire, due to the pending disciplinary. However, that's just an educated guess on my part. Under your circumstance perhaps they'd make an acceptation.

Beware...Everyone I know who quit in Lieu of Disciplanary if rehired was still charged and had to except the outcome of the the pending Charges when they returned in the infraction was not that serious.

Or was a supervisor just out to get you? Either way, if you resigned with pending disciplinary you will likely have NO REHIRE somewhere on your file. Good luck with that.

I quit back in Nov 2015 as a LT due to my wife receiving a job out of state. I applied for a Sgt position and received it back in april 2017.
However, once my application went back through to Huntsville, I was denied employment.
I quit with 3 weeks left on probation. The probation was over a count procedure that a Seg Officer called in to me so I can clear count. However it was a b/s write up and got 3 months for it.
Will this affect my chances of getting a job with TJJD since I was denied from TECH?
I currently work with the PD as a Gang I.T tdcj did not affect me of getting this job. But am needing a job back in Texas asap

I basically was a sergeant who was involved in a suicide in segregation. I was asked with several task to do that day and although I didn’t get terminated for the suicide they ran 24hrs of camera and found 4 write ups to fire me. I went through the process of remediation and basically I wasn’t even given a chance to lease my case it lasted less than a minute. The mediator look shocked and well I was them able to apply and get hired at a private facility before the outcome on the remediation. I decided to take resign for personal reason option and now I’m not working for that private prison and pays well but I don’t like it like the state. So I quickly reapplied a month after the remediation since they said I could do that and I got a letter from the director saying he is thankful for my interest in applying but my application is not being considered at this time. Then they said I would have to wait a year to reapply. I’m waiting for that year to come up so I applied at TJJD and I passed the interview and were just waiting for Huntsville to give them information on my background and they basically said that I quit in lo of investigation. So I’m thinking will this effect me for all state and federal jos and what about out of state. Has anyone had similar situation and got jobs at the federal or state level.

In all honesty, you should move on to another career. Your life in corrections is over. Upper admin have a "black list" of sorts, and you are on it. Save yourself the anguish and embarrassment and look elsewhere. They have stuck a fork in you, you're done.

I too left TDCJ under less than seller circumstances. But that was in 1995. Who do I write to for a copy of my file to see if I am eligible for rehire? Also, does this affect ALL state jobs? Even those not associated with TDCJ? Thank you,

I left during an investigation. A coworker and I had words. Not so nice words on either side however she filed an EEO on me which was bogus. That investigation went on for over a year. By this time I transferred to another unit to avoid any other conflict. While at another unit, of which the boss’ were weak and the inmates ran it. I was sexually assaulted physically by a sergeant. I then filed an EEO on him(he had 10 and it was kept hush hush within the unit and got away with everyone of them)That was over in a matter of weeks. However the EEO filed on me was still pending when an inmate punched me. No one backed me up or stood for me...therefore I called a Lt. to take my spot and I went straight to the wardens office and she basically laughed in my face saying I was just mad because they didn’t do what I wanted them to do. Stupid woman I was assaulted. The inmate had ran back in his cell and closed the door so I didn’t use the spray. Anyway I recently reapplied... passed the general app process it is now in the process infront of the board to offer or not offer. TDCJ is DESPERATE for officers at a 65% staffed level. I was NOT inmate related or a dirty boss in the two years I was employed. If they deny a damn good boss employment back after 8 years but continue to hire kids with no life experience who are easily persuaded or hire current inmates family members and others who bring in contraband then they are making mistakes big time and why they are so understaffed. I need a job and TDCJ needs officers. If they have bumped up that sign on bonus to $5k then they need to hire people back who want the job and are there for all the right reasons. I would even accept the job and not be offered the bonus. That’s fine...just give me my job back please!!!

I was just recommended dismissal. I agreed to resign. Will I be able to be rehired with the state or any other agencies contacted with tdcj?
