Any word on this yet? I heard the House approved a 12.5%, but the senate kicked back with a 5%.

They could approve 100% raise, but as long as they keep putting that qualifier in there "Only if the money is certified available by the Comptroller" then we may not see anything. I'm sure that Brad and his gang will still get theirs.

My guess is 2.5% this September, and again next year. It's a fraction of what they should be giving us.

Retreads don't pay into retirement, as we've already paid our share and retired. Even still, 5% over two years is an insult.

I guess powers at be are telling us that our work wasn't good enough. I will try to live down to their expectations. Don't forget about Brad and his gang getting tens of thousands of dollars increase in their salaries recently.

He should be ashamed of himself.

I am sure he is ashamed every time he looks in a Mirror...definitely not when he sits in front of Mr. Whitmire.

Looks like we got an 8% with an additional 2.5% to off set the retirement increase. Not what we needed, but not bad either.

Heard it passed both today...Every Texas state employee got a 2.5 percent increase, with an additional 8 percent for COs, laundry managers and food service managers. Have not heard if it is Flat increase or a Split Increase over two years..

Have not heard if it is Flat increase or a Split Increase over two years.. I wonder if us retreads will get that 2.5 to offset the retirement deduction increase. If we do, and we don't pay into retirement, that would mean we get a full 10 1/2% increase in our pay check. That would be the nicest raise, short of a promotion, that I've gotten in over 32yrs with the state.
