Also, when I say 3 times...2 of those times were really two separate cells getting rowdy and encouraging each other on the same occasion and the 3rd time was on a shift other than mine. In other words, I am being generous when I say I've seen 3 cell extractions. In 2202, 2003, and 2004 in Leavenworth we were doing three a day on many days. Some days all of the officers who could be pulled were either suiting up, suited up, or writing reports for a previous suit-up; to the point that there were no more officers available to suit up. Then counselors, case managers, food service & maintenance people would get their turn at suiting up. Sometimes, after disturbances our SHU (Special Housing Unit) which is like your Ad-Seg, would have as many as five inmates in a two-man cell. And sometimes we would have to suit up 25 people because policy required five staff per inmate.
