I am considering going up for a sgt board we have and was curious as what to expect? What kind of questions do they usually ask? Is there anything in particular I should study for? Thanks

Since there ain't a standardized test you can expect anything. If there are outside applicants there won't be any questions about specific policy. If there are good ol' boys going up don't be surprised if you don't get it and they do.

Since there ain't a standardized test you can expect anything. If there are outside applicants there won't be any questions about specific policy. If there are good ol' boys going up don't be surprised if you don't get it and they do. So I too asked around. The Sgt, the Lts, the Capts, the Major, And the AW. Also hit up the HR folks. Mostly, I was told they would ask general questions about policy, different situations you may find yourself in. They ask, and I did give a short message upon entering the room, and again, just before leaving. They told me, prior to the board, that if I did as I have described here, I would make Sgt. Worked for me. Ain't all that hard. Spelling is a plus. Size don't hurt none. I love it,but mostly in HS and during lockdown. That's when the fun starts. We should be comming up on shakedown soon, will be my first since making rank. I am like a kid at Christmas!! We are going to need lots of new confiscation logs! Hot diggity doog!!!!!!!
