I was just recommended dismissal. I agreed to resign. Will I be able to be rehired with the state or any other agencies contracted with TDCJ?

I just retired recently and was told by very high ranking TDCJ staff behind closed doors that President Trump wants the House and Senate to have a sensible bill on his desk legalizing or decriminalizing marijuana and small amounts of a few other drugs like cocaine and heroin by Christmas time this year so he can sign it into effect by New Years Day. When that happens, TDCJ will face mass lay-offs much in the very same fashion as the auto industry, oil industry and the steel mills did back in the 1980s. Those convicts that are currently doing ridiculously big sentences for simple possession or small-time distribution will most likely receive full unconditional pardons and be released back into society. When this happens, I fully expect that 30 to 60% of the entire offender population will be released shortly after this takes effect. This in turn will cause TDCJ to close many units because they will no longer be needed anymore for drug offenders. I don't think that TDCJ will be looking to rehire anyone at all within six months to a year from now.

I wonder how high his rank is when he is out in the open? Now just how many TDCJ staff members do you think are privy to what the President of the United States wants done? Maybe, well lets be conservative, and say, well it might be...., no lets be liberal, and estimate, ZERO. I grant you, the pres may well be considering what you claim, but I don't think any TDCJ ranking staff have an inside track to his think tank. Someone was blowing smoke up your dress and you fell for it.
