Wish there was a Way to have access to the Policies at Home.. Requesting and Receiving them is them is like asking for a Million Dollars sometime... Reminds me the old saying...Wish in on Hand and Sh#t in the other..see which one fills up first Might as well be requesting a Virgin for sacrafice

I brought my own paper, helped a little. Paper seems to be hard to get, especially around the end of the month. I've seen people steal it from each other because they couldn't get any from supply until the next order.

Find out who has access on the unit and hit them up. I used to go to our ACA office all the time to access the intranet for stuff I needed. The other good way is on infopac. And, that is on the main frame. So, any main frame terminal will work.

Also, policy manuals should be in the warden/admin office area, majors office, and the OR sergeants office. Just ask to read them.

Place a recycle bin in the stall so the pooper can throw a once used paper into it for the next pooper. I'm thinking outside the box. Now, promote me!

boobot. there's more than one kind of paper, I was talking about the other. Photocopy kind. But if you want to reuse tp, go for it.
I made a point of reading the policies and it kept me out of trouble. However, we were told of updates. NO MORE! Now you are supposed to browse through the 20 or so 4 inch binders to find the changes. I think they want staff to be ignorant so they have someone to blame for their poor managment. AND, there are some kept locked up. Which violants an agreement the agency made, in court, in 86. I don't know the details, but I remember when ALL he policies had to be made available to staff 24/7 with a place to read them.

They don't need to hold a persons hand and spoon feed them. We're all adults.

About a month ago I asked for access to policies, being prior-Army like you, I'm used to policy being in the public domain, armypubs.army.mil/doctrine/Active_FM.html. When I asked a LT about access to policy, he directed me to go look at the Infopack. I had been in the system at least 10+ months and just found out what an Infopack is. But low and behold, it turns out that my unit doesn't even have an Infopack and we supposedly have to go to Lynaugh to use it.
