A former guard at the William P. Clements Jr. prison unit has been indicted on federal charges alleging he filed fraudulent claims for unemployment while he was working as a corrections officer.Kenneth M. Wetwiska was indicted Feb. 13 on charges of false fictitious or fraudulent claims and failing to report events to the railroad retirement board.Wetwiska made a federal court appearance Thursday in Amarillo and was released on personal recognizance.According to the indictment, Wetwiska, an employee of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, made claims to the Railroad Retirement Board that he was unemployed when he actually was working as a corrections officer.Jason Clark, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, said Wetwiska began work on July 21, 2011, and resigned in June for personal reasons.

The reason he went to work with us was the railroad laid him off, he quit when they let him back on. I know this because he was on my shift.

The reason he went to work with us was the railroad laid him off, he quit when they let him back on. I know this because he was on my shift. Why in the world would anyone quit the railroad? He probably failed to report his retirement pension payments to TWC, while he was collecting TWC benefits. If you are collecting unemployment benefits from the same employer, there is an offset against your weekly unemployment payment amount. What about Lieutenant Robert McCombs Jr? I think he is innocent, but do not have a clue about what caused him to get charged in the first place.

You should alway's be considered innocent until proven guilty. But, in reality, society typically works the opposite. Your guilty until you prove your innocent.

Innocent until proven guilty is great but, doesn't really happen. They arrest you, take you to booking, depending on the charge you could be locked up and not released or have to pay a bond to get out. You go to court and are found innecent but you served how long before court. Our system is the best in the world but, it does have some flaws. I would say more times then not theones that cannot get out are guilty.
