TDC has the same problems as every company I have ever worked at. From Huntsville to Houston. The exact same problems w/employees. The only difference is the # of employees. Since we have so many more at any given unit/location, it seems it is the worst place to be. But in reality, it's just on a much larger scale.
On another note, not only is TDC not for everyone, allot of folks think that it is such an easy job, and that they are so much better than everyone else there. But in reality, you just cant handle the mental stress load of the job. The confinement w/the clients we have. The uncertainty of what is going to happen next. The thought of being yelled at by an inmate and pissing your paints. But don't, worry, we understand. Like Marty said, this isn't cut out for everyone.

LOL! Decent? Aren't illinoiscpl2327 aka newboot5577 and lockumup aka honestyisgolden at Gist? Uh, no. Two of the userid's you mentioned are in fact different people. The others may be different people as well. This identity stuff is getting very confusing. I am just one person, but sometimes in my head I'm sure there's three or four. In the past that would have been a scary thing to realize, but apparently now I can be a man one day and a woman the next and everyone around me has to accept it and even encourage and celebrate it. I like it because now instead of being offended by just one gender now I can be offended by both genders. My greatest hope now is that the government will allow me to recognize myself as White one day and then Black on another day. I would even like to try being Oriental once. What a great society we've become. In the words of Phil Robinson of Duck Dynasty - Happy, happy, happy!

They are turd convicts or turd offenders or just turds. I piss my pants today not because of fear from anyone, but because I just got to that age. Where can I find an adult diaper with a 58" waist?

So, on any particular day ............................. sometimes we do turn some heads as we walk through a store or the mall, with me in my bib overalls looking like a redneck, my oldest son looking all Latino swag, my daughter with her Latina bad-ass girl thing going on, and my youngest son who is black looking cool with his fro, and my beautiful white wife looking sophisticated. well, you get the picture. I love my family. Makes for some fun, and interesting days. ;D Oh, and btw, my step-mom is Filipino. So, I can do the oriental thing too. ;D Thanks to my family, I am being educated on several different cultures and races.

Your family reunions must look like a United Nations meeting. I have heard good things about those Filipino women. They deserve credit for having good reputations.

The sad part is that in-spite of your family when other minorities look at you they still consider you the White Devil. I think we (the people) would do just fine with race relations if the government would just get out of the way and quit stirring up problems. Most of us knows how to act and prefer to act appropriately without legislation and laws. The ones that don't will isolate themselves and I'm okay with that too.
