I've heard that Wynne is a disciplinary unit for staff, for example a "new" sgt there, that WAS an LT at Stevenson, until a recent issue. That's just the latest arrival

Is it just me , or does warden Smith friendly to inmates more than his staff? He got his rank by burning every subordinate beneath him. If something happens it's always the LTS fault, and the administration can wipe their hands clean. This Warden told me that I didn't have permission to transfer to another unit like he owns me. Then they backdoor find something to write you up for to keep you from transferring. I've given up on Wynne administration and TDCJ. After I tried to stand my ground, and tried to transfer to a unit that would be better for myself and my family, Warden Smith told me to be careful about burning bridges for trying to transfer. Threatening more write ups. I'm going to take this job offer at the oil field and say goodbye to this place. 10 years of my life wasted at TDCJ. Warden Smith is a piece of shit and a snake.

Every unit has its own culture. Always has, always will. Does racism exist? I imagine it does. I've seen African-American Wardens show favoritism to their race but I've also seen good ol'boy White Wardens favor their own. No different than the military. As a system TDCJ isn't racist. It's about the most equal opportunity employer there is.
