I have seen a lot of co`s at my unit using their own hand restaints, is there a policy against this? I have been told its frowned upon but I haven't been able to find a policy on it....

I believe there is a policy against this, but I've been out of the game for a while so I wouldn't be able to tell you which directive its in. It was explained to me that personal restraints were not allowed because they were not logged and tracked by the unit. Meaning that if some wanna be commando idiot lost his restraints or a handcuff key, and did not self report, no one would know until the stuff hit the fan.

If you had a good pimp hand you wouldn't need good hand restraints. Nothing can replace a good bitch slap.

No personal cuffs, or cuff keys allowed. Only state issue uof equipment and keys are allowed. And, all uof equipment must be tracked, and logged out and in when issued. I don't remember the policy number. But, it is in policy.
