I was just recommended dismissal. I agreed to resign. Will I be able to be rehired with the state or any other agencies contracted with TDCJ?

Nope, you can stick a fork in your state or state related employment, as you are done, WELL done! Regions have a black list, to be abided by at all concerned, at all costs. Move on.

So how would I be blacked listed and I did all the proper steps? I had a miscarriage and I brought my excuses to my Lt. My Lt. lost every excuse, so I had to go back get copies, but the time they were turned in, it was to late. I had a disciplinary. So I get black balled for that?

So when you are ask to resign with the TDCJ, you can't get a job no where working with the state? Can't and no, is a form of double negative. You can't get a job anywhere with the state. Not true. It depends on many factors. Reason you were asked to resign, time since alleged incident or infraction, wording of documents placed in your file, agency you are applying with, etc. It is determined on a case by case basis. TDCJ is not as well respected as many other state agencies. Now, if you are asked to resign from the Parks and Recreation Department, you are pretty much done with state employment.

Being asked to resign and being recommended for dismissal are different. The later is akin to being fired, while the first example is more or less being given a chance to leave by free will.

You have to get a warden to sign off on you. If you can get a warden to call the main office and get you off the list, they will rehire you.
