From what i hear a damn good one. They dont want him to leave Lamesa. Here is a little inside info. He is from Lawrence Kansas. KU and Chiefs fan. Guess Ft.Stockton warden heading to lamesa . You will enjoy working for him. If you dont , your the problem. He is home there in Amarillo.

*******He is from Lawrence Kansas. KU and Chiefs fan. ******* Warden Vogelgesang has got to be a good guy, being from Lawrence, Kansas. How does he follow those teams from his present location? Sounds like the necessary sports channel would be a good gift for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he gives more attention to the Royals now that they have won a few games.

One of the most experienced wardens around. That I know of he has been at Dalhart, Neal, Smith and now Clements. These are all senior warden positions. He is one of those people that knows what is going on inside his unit. Knows how to walk thru central and won't get lost around the unit.

He sounds like a Yankee to me. A blasphemous one at that since he won't root for a proper team...

Kansas might be North of the Mason Dixie Line. Kansas was neutral during the Civil War, though. Crosstimbersokie's Missourian stomping grounds are a different story. Missouri is straight up Yankee Territory. Crosstimberokie's real home is forty miles East of Lawrence, Kansas.

He was a great person first and a great warden second,a person you can talk to. Sad to see him go but he will be going close to home. Our loss their gain, one thing,do not lie to the man if you f*$# up tell him, it will only hurt alittle.

Anyone have any info on warden vogelgesang (hope I spelled it right), any info good or bad would be appreciated. I worked for Warden V. years back and I wish I was again. He is one of the best. Mess up and he will be the first one on your butt, do your job and he will back you 100%. Fair,Honest,Dependable. When he corrects you he does it in a way you can learn from your mistake, because he wants you to become better not because he enjoys it or wants to belittle you. I would trade you wardens anyday!
