Nothing. Same old retardation. At Leavenworth we have a new warden from Bastrop, TX. He loves thug-cop.

Oh, I have a 'hypothetical.' I would like to get opinions from people outside the feds.
Say an equivalent of a TDCJ major gets a DUI. Then he gets two more promotions on up to warden.
Say a TDCJ equivalent of a captain, when he was a CO, gets a DUI. Then he gets three more promotions up to what TDCJ would call a captain.
Say a CO gets multiple DUIs. To the point that the judge gets tired of looking at him and locks his ass up for a few weeks. But they let him out of jail to work his Midnight to 8 shift at the prison before returning to jail for a hot shower, a good meal, and a warm bunk. He doesn't report his arrest & incarceration to the warden as policy requires though. The warden found out about it from somewhere else.
Say a guy who's the equivalent of a TDCJ captain gets a DUI and is later promoted to what TDCJ would call a major and then retires.
Say a CO gets a DUI and is later promoted all the way to a position that TDCJ calls a captain.
None of these guys get fired for their DUIs, which endanger innocent people. Instead they get promoted with the exception of the guy who roomed at the jail.
Say a guy, who's a case manager and manages inmate classification issues gets drunk at a party. While drunk he doesn't get behind the wheel of his car and endanger the public. Instead while drunk he does what drunks do. He exercises poor judgement. He is also a former union president... Anyway, while drunk and exercising poor judgement he puffs on a joint that some other drunk is passing around among the group of drunks. Say there is a girl at the party with a cellphone camera who begins to take pictures which she posts to her Facebook page. Her daddy also works at the prison... Say the administration gets wind, UAs the former union president and he's mighty hot for THC. So they fire him.
Thoughts??
Keep in mind that under this state's laws marijuana possession for personal use is the kind of misdemeanor that gets you a citation that acts as a summons to appear before the court on a certain date. Much like a traffic violation. Provided the cops catch you, which they didn't in this case. A dirty UA got him. Keep in mind that a DUI automatically results in an arrest and a trip to jail. Which is as it should be if the purpose of criminal law is to protect the Public.

Yup.. sounds like TDCJ... but here the arrest usually involve alcohol and a pig.. A Consenting Pig I think they both were consenting, and having fun. ;D On the other stuff, well, I hate zero tolerance policies. They leave little room for discretion. Not knowing all the circumstances of each case I reserve judgement, and will keep my opinion to myself. I like knowing ALL the facts involved before forming an opinion.

seems as if the world is playing favorites , and your not one .what to fight it? find an "ambulence chaser" for an att sounds like you need one, justice isn't fair its who you know or how much you can afford, though even being stupid one time can really hurt and its cost you. need to relocate? alaska needs guards..

We don't need ambulance chasers. We, as in the union, handle it ourselves. It's fun beating agency attorneys in arbitration. I'm often amazed at how little they know about their own agency's policies. I guess the fuckers stop reading after they pass their bar exam.
